Picking a Profitable Niche

How do you decide whether or not a niche is worth entering?  The fact is that most niches will make you at least some money but if you are  looking to branch out into something new then what you want to do is try and find a niche where people are already buying products and then either produce a product or find a product that someone else has that you can promote as an affiliate. Target Buyers Not Visitors

When thinking about your keyword rankings and getting traffic to your site you need to think about the types of keywords you are working on. If you are in any kind of competitive niche you want to start with “long tailed keywords” which are those phrases that usually contain four or more words.  While these key phrases get less searches than the one or two word keywords they are usually easier to get to the top of the rankings and in a lot of cases they are more targeted towards your product or site.

You especially want to try and find the search phrases that people who are actually looking to spend money enter in during their search.  Think about which person is more likely to pull out their wallet and buy, (more…)

When trying to raise your site ranking in Google there are two main things to look at. First we have on site content, second we have backlinks. Obviously on site content is needed and for the most part self explanatory, you need good content targeted towards your main subject and keywords.  The backlink situation is a much more complex issue. You have all kinds of questions. What kinds of links? From what types of site? What particular sites are best in my niche? The list goes on. The question then is how do you find out the information you need to build the backlinks to your site that will make Google put your site to the top of the rankings.  (more…)

Newsletter and Crazy Week

Well the last week has been pretty crazy I can not believe that I went this long without posting any new information. Looks like I might need to have some backup content for times like these. I did get the first edition of the newsletter out last weekend but other than that my clients kept me crazy busy. It is a good thing but sometimes you can be just a bit busier than you would like and last week was one of them. I had what I thought was a good plan for the week but somethings had to be put off a bit like posting here. I will try and get some extra content the next week or two to make up for it.
