SEO Tools and Research

When trying to raise your site ranking in Google there are two main things to look at. First we have on site content, second we have backlinks. Obviously on site content is needed and for the most part self explanatory, you need good content targeted towards your main subject and keywords.  The backlink situation is a much more complex issue. You have all kinds of questions. What kinds of links? From what types of site? What particular sites are best in my niche? The list goes on. The question then is how do you find out the information you need to build the backlinks to your site that will make Google put your site to the top of the rankings.

A good place to start would be to try and seen how Google sees the keywords your are targeting. There are a couple of tools that can help you do this, The first is Touch Graph go ahead and enter in a keyword or phrase you are targeting and you will see the top sites  for that keyword and how different sites feed into them. Spend some time with this and you can gain some great information about the links and relationships for these top sites.  Another tool is found on the Google search page. Type in your keyword and then click on Show Options and then click on wonder wheel. You will  then see a wheel with the keyword you entered in the center and a list of other keywords surrounding your main keyword. If you look at this wheel it will show you what types of site that Google expects to see linking to a site with that particular keyword as its main focus.  In almost all cases there is a connecting theme to the group. What you need to do is take this theme and use it to give Google what they expect and want to see when setting up the backlinks you will need to raise your site to the top of the rankings chart.

We will talk more on this later.  Hope you found this seo information useful.
